What Helped Me Through My Depression

  • You have to be your own best friend, and treat yourself like it.
  • You have to push yourself.
  • You need to embrace your negative thoughts and feelings, and try to understand why they are there.
  • Try to remember you are not alone.
  • Journal; write down your thoughts, goals and/or anything that comes to mind.
  • You need to remember to take care of each part of yourself; spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally.
  • Give back to yourself.
  • Allow yourself to be soft and vulnerable.
  • You need to remember that the thoughts and feelings that do not serve you need to be let go.
  • If you can, try to find something productive to do to refocus your pain.
