She was lying in the sand sunbathing, her eyes protected by big, round sunglasses that felt like they covered her face. She stared up at the sky and thought to herself, “This is life.” She sat up and looked out at the crashing waves. The sun reflected off the water, making it sparkle. It was as if the ocean was filled with diamonds.
She glanced around. She appeared to be the only one on her own, just how she preferred it. Surrounded by couples and groups of compatability, observing how they interacted with each other and tried to imagine the interesting topics of conversation they were having, were they discussing the weather?, were they trying to decide what fun activity to do next?, were they talking about their feelings? Feelings, another human experience she liked to explore on her own. “Why would I share my feelings with others when they were mine?”, she would think to herself, I mean, do people even Care?! She just didn’t see the point.
